Synopsis

The story follows 11-year-old Lin Shenhai (played by Li Zijian) and 16-year-old Liu Hao (played by Xiao Zheng), two boys from completely different family backgrounds who come together because of their shared loneliness. The sound of the violin bridges their hearts and serves as their way of expressing emotions. Lin Shenhai’s father, Lin Shouye (played by Shi Dasheng), becomes concerned about his son’s interaction with the “bad boy” Liu Hao, and repeatedly tries to separate them. Liu Hao mistakenly believes that Lin Shouye is pursuing his single mother, Liu Lu (played by Wang Jing). Due to the shadows of his childhood, Liu Hao instinctively rejects any men around his mother. When Liu Hao discovers that Lin Shenhai’s parents are not separated, the misunderstanding deepens, creating a rift between the two boys. In a moment of impulsivity, Liu Hao takes Lin Shenhai to search for his childhood love and his estranged father. The two boys, clinging to their only dreams, travel all the way to Yunnan, relying on each other for survival. During this journey, Liu Hao is finally moved by Lin Shenhai’s genuine affection, and their friendship reaches a new level.
